Materials You’ll Need:
- A pencil (preferably HB or 2B)
- An eraser
- A blank sheet of paper
- Black marker (optional, for final outline)
- Coloring supplies (optional)
Step 1: Draw the Big Oval for the Body
Draw a large horizontal oval in the center of your page.
This will be the main body of your elephant.

Step 2: Add a Smaller Circle for the Head
Draw a smaller circle overlapping the left side of the big oval.
This will be the head of your elephant.
Step 3: Sketch the Trunk
From the bottom of the head, draw a curvy ‘S’ shape going down and back up —
this forms the elephant’s trunk.
Step 4: Add Ears
Elephants have big, floppy ears!
On the side of the head, draw a big curved ear like a loose ‘C’ shape.

- Draw two small circles for the eyes.
- Add two little curved lines on the trunk to show folds.
- Sketch small nails on the feet (three or four little semi-circles).
